Emma Reynolds (Labours Shadow Housing Minister) came to Cambridge today 12-11-14). Emma’s mission was to meet with Labour City Council’s Leader Lewis Herbert, and their housing team (Kevin Price, Dave Baigent and Mike Todd Jones).

Emma explained Labour’s proposed housing plans and was interested to hear of the Cambridge specific housing problems that follow on from the successful growth in the City’s economy.  A considerable discussion took place on the high cost of housing and the potential safety problems associated with some houses of multiple occupation.

Emma was pleased that Cambridge and Daniel Zeichner supported the Living Wage campaign

Emma also visited areas in Cambridge that are being proposed for council houses and helped Rahima Ahammed with canvassing in Queen Edith.
