This Saturday has been a great day for Romsey Labour campaigning with our stall in Mill Road and out of the ward in the Tory marginal of Harlow canvassing with candidate Laura McAlpine and a fine group of enthusiastic local members.
Knocking on doors in a Tory constituency that had the third largest vote for leave in the country was so different from our normal experience & really worthwhile. Being able to help out in marginals like this is one of the things where Labour’s large membership will make a real difference as we head into a general election.
A group of us were chatting to voters on Mill Road outside the Co-op, reminding people to register to vote and handing out the latest Newsletter of Autumn 2019. Many people greeted us warmly and said they would vote Labour, and some were very interested to hear about Labour’s New Green Deal and wonderful new plans to reduce carbon emissions. Quite a few had not registered to vote and said they would go and do so!
