Vote for Labour councillors on 5th May and for a Labour Police & Crime Commissioner. We will protect the vital services Lewis.jpgthat our city residents need most, and make our city fairer and safer.

Council bank balances that went mouldy under our predecessors are now invested in property, earning an extra £1m annually, and are funding more housing for rent.  Our new shared services with South Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire save a further £1m plus every year. Greater efficiency protects your services despite another 40% cut in our remaining Government grant,  decimated following five years of cuts by the Tory/Lib Dem Coalition.

Labour’s immediate priorities are to build more homes, share prosperity with those who need our help most, and tackle the consequences of growth.  We are building homes faster than any UK city, but need many more at genuinely affordable rents.  Too many residents and their children cannot afford to buy so we seek a Government devolution deal to build at least 850 more for affordable rent.

We plan to consult on tackling peak time congestion and will also tackle excessive city air pollution.

We are the only party campaigning actively across every ward in the city, and only Labour has the plans, people and determination to protect your services, tackle the city’s challenges and create ‘One Cambridge -; Fair for All.’
