Daniel Zeichner MP visited Cherry Hinton Lions FC tournament to present the club with a £3000 cheque.

The club have been awarded a ‘Grow the Game’ grant by the Football Foundation to set up two new girls football teams.

Cherry Hinton Lions FC was founded in 1983 and currently provides football for over 190 young players.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “It is fantastic that Cherry Hinton Lions has been recognised for their contribution to community sport. I wish all the teams the best of luck in the new season and hope to come back to meet the new girls’ teams soon.”
