Abbey councillors were disappointed to see that the Peverel Road underpass was flooded, again.

Councillors contacted the County Council to report the problem and say that the flooding should be cleared as soon as possible.

They also asked for the underpass to be cordoned off for residents’ safety until the flooding is cleared.

It’s not acceptable for the underpass to be flooded repeatedly – it’s an important route for pedestrians. The County Council must find a long-term solution.
