The Local Plan identifies Mitcham’s Corner as a high priority for change.

The Plan says: “A masterplan will be necessary to develop the vision and guide new development proposals coming forward.”

“This hopefully will be the trigger for making big improvements to the area,” says Mike Sargeant.

“Mitcham’s Corner should not be dominated by the road system. We need to make sure, as the Local Plan says, new developments ‘reinforce the area with a strong local character and identity’.”
