Cambridgeshire Labour Launch 2025 County Council Manifesto
Delivering a county that’s fairer, greener, connected, and works for everybody.
Labour’s priorities for Cambridgeshire:
-
- Building health and social care fit for the future
- Moving around the county easily and safely
- Breaking down the barriers to opportunity
- Putting the heart back into communities
- Combatting climate change
- Bringing compassion to the council’s operations
Councillor Elisa Meschini, Leader of the County Council Labour Group stated:
“With a Labour government and a Labour mayor, change has begun in Cambridgeshire.
We are building a health and social care service that is fit for the future. We are investing so that it is easy and safe to travel to work or education, for leisure, and to visit friends and family. We are breaking down the barriers that hold young people back. We are putting the heart back into communities, investing in local hubs. We are combatting climate change and protecting residents from flooding and damaged roads.
Labour holds the balance of power at the County Council meaning that many of our manifesto pledges have been put into action. At the last election, voters rightly turfed out the Conservatives. Residents had had enough of being taken for granted. They’d had enough of local finances being in a mess. They knew services should be better. Let’s not return to the havoc of the Conservative years.
Labour has a clear vision for Cambridgeshire and we’re firm believers in public service. On Thursday 1st May you will have two ballot papers. Please back your Labour county candidates and Anna Smith for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough elected Mayor. Together we will deliver change.”
