The most successful way of improving our area is by working together.

Consultation mustn’t be a box ticking exercise where the only action left to residents is to shout from the side lines.

I have been very involved in the development of the Milton Road scheme. It has shown how active participation by residents is vital.

Over the last five years, I’ve had countless conversations on the doorstep. Not only talking about issues and concerns but also the possible solutions.

My workshop on Chesterton Road encourages direct involvement. If elected councillor, I will continue to look for ways to involve people in the running of our city. Politics mustn’t be a spectator sport.
