When I am out canvassing, there is nothing worse than being being told ‘you are all the same, full of promises but fail to deliver‘.

This happened to me several times in the roads around Patacake Nursery.   People were concerned about the lack of street markings at the junction of Mamora and Malta Rd and several of them had seen near misses between cars, pedestrians and cyclists, and all of them had mentioned it to councillors over the years with no result.

So I took on the challenge – that was in February 2014.

Today (4-8-14) I can report the street markings are now in place.  It took a long time but unlike all the other politicians that had promised to get it done I did not let go and now we have a success story.  Thank you to Labour County Councillor Noel Cavanagh who was instrumental in helping me to get this done!

Perhaps now people who park so close to the corners here may want to think again.
