Labour-run Cambridge City Council has built more homes in Petersfield ward alone than the Tories have built in the entire rest of the county outside Cambridge put together…

The Ironworks development on the Mill Road Depot site means 236 new homes for Cambridge residents – half of them for council rent.

These sustainable, attractive, energy-efficient houses demonstrate Labour’s focus on getting it right on the housing that Cambridge needs.

Meanwhile, County Tories and Mayor James Palmer have both seen their housing programmes collapsing under the weight of their incompetence and self-importance.

The County’s wholly owned company “This Land” has made £15 million in losses. Now it’s selling off sites, and others have planning issues. And how many houses has it built? Just nine.

Tory Mayor James Palmer loves to boast. But what has he achieved? Just a handful of houses built, government grants withheld, grand plans nowhere near completion.

Labour, and its partner Hill, have got on with the job of building the houses Cambridge’s people need.

Don’t put that progress at risk. Vote Labour on the 6th of May.
