Daniel Zeichner took an hour out from campaigning to volunteer with Cambridge FoodCycle, a community group which serves a delicious lunch at Wesley Methodist Church every Saturday. They also serve hot food every first and third Wednesday evening of the month and Barnwell Baptist Church and on the last Thursday of the month at the Arbury Road Baptist Church.

The initiative is backed by the Jo Cox Foundation, which has asked all Parliamentary candidates to take an hour out of their busy campaign schedule to visit a community project that works to bring people together in their area. This is part of The Great Get Together, a project that has been inspired by Jo’s life.

Daniel Zeichner said: “It’s lovely to be be able to join the amazing volunteers at Cambridge FoodCycle this weekend.

“Having worked closely with them during my time representing Cambridge over the last two years I appreciate the opportunity to put a shift in and show that we really do have more that unites us than divides us – just like Jo would have wanted.”
