The Labour Team led by Kelley Green submitted the petition with 2153 signatures to the Clinical Commissioning Group in Cambridge today.

“The response across the North of Cambridge has been fantastic” says Kelley. “Pubs, Cafes and Shops have been great in displaying the petition which shows what a popular campaign this has been.”

“We will be submitting another petition to the County Council Health Committee calling on them to also oppose the closure of the Out of Hours service at Chesterton Medial Centre. Cambridge City Council are also behind the campaign and we trust that the CCG are listening. The North of Cambridge has the highest level of deprivation of the city and the worst mortality rate. Local people need easy access to good health care.”
