Mitcham’s Corner is being designated as an Opportunity Area in the new Local Plan for Cambridge. spd_diag.png

Cambridge City Council proposals aim to set a framework for development of the area:

  • Removal of the gyratory system
  • A large open space for relaxing
  • Reduced traffic domination
  • Improved local shopping and leisure
  • Improved cycling and pedestrian features
  • Better developments

The latest issue revolves around the Tivoli -; the owners do not intend reopening the pub. We all need to ensure the character of the area is retained and improved. We need to ensure that this important site is not taken over by developers with no regard for the vitality of the area. Please have your say on this and other aspects of these proposals.

Details are available at www.cambridge.gov.uk/mitchams-corner-spd, and Milton Road Library, Ascham Road.

There will also be exhibitions on Wednesday 14 September 2016, 3pm to 8pm and Wednesday 5 October 2016, 3pm to 8pm at Victoria Homes Pavillion, Victoria Road.

You can have your  say until 17 October policysurveys@cambridge.gov.uk 01223 457200 or
