Plans to improve Cherry Hinton Road have been further delayed by the Tory-controlled County Council. The scheme intends to extend cycle lanes, reduce non-essential on-road parking, and upgrade the bus stops on this very busy road in the heart of our area. But the county council has diverted £300,000 of the promised £1m to pay for the costly Dutch roundabout on Fendon Road. Councillor Rosy Moore has since won a promise from county councillor Ian Bates to refund that money and, as your local councillors, we will continue to press for these essential improvements to be implemented without further delay
