Labour’s County Council candidate for Abbey, Alexandra Bulat, says that urgent action is needed to tackle the poor state of the pavements at Peverel Road:
There are over 20 potholes on Peverel Road, many of them one next to another, creating a serious health and safety risk for residents. Everyone should have access to decent roads and footpaths where they live. As Labour County Council candidate for Abbey, I will ensure resurfacing footpaths such as the ones on Peverel Road is a priority. We need to put residents’ safety first and we are asking Cambridgeshire County Council to urgently schedule works in this area.
Below is a map of all known potholes:
If you are unhappy with the pavements, and agree with us they need fixing, please sign the petition below which we aim to hand over to the County Council:
We, the undersigned, request that Cambridgeshire County Council urgently schedules works to repair the footpaths on Peverel Road. The footpaths are in urgent need of resurfacing. Their surfaces are crumbling, leaving potholes, stones and tripping hazards. This causes severe health and safety risks for local residents, and so we request that these works are undertaken at the earliest possible opportunity.
