The Labour City Council recently revealed a blueprint for the future of East Barnwell, entitled ‘Framework for Change’.

The purpose of the blueprint is to consider ideas to regenerate the area by through improved community facilities and new housing for local people. This will in turn help support new jobs and improve the lives of existing residents.

The council conducted a consultation with local residents earlier this year and has been working closely with local community groups including Abbey People. Further work will be conducted over 2021.
