Pam Stacey, Trumpington

38 Bishops Road, Cambridge, CB2 9NH Phone: 01223 840327

Pam has lived in Trumpington for over 30 years and she is a Chartered Biologist working as a research assistant on the Addenbrooke's site.

She says, "During the years I have lived in Trumpington I have seen huge changes including more housing the current road building for both the Addenbrooke’s relief road and the guided bus. The numerous lorries going to the sites have added to the already congested roads, no wonder the buses have difficulty in keeping to their timetables. It is essential that local people are consulted and their opinions listened to and the Council has a strong and more effective transport policy."

In her spare time Pam enjoys gardening and she is a member of the Trumpington garden society.

Pam is an active member of the trade union UNITE.

Labour has four top priorities for Trumpington.
1.Fight for 50% of new housing to be affordable housing, targeted for local people. (That's almost double the Lib Dems’ recent delivery of affordable homes.)

2. Ensure real consultation and improvements for Trumpington residents before new developments like the massive plans for the 'Southern fringe' go ahead.

3.Tackle traffic congestion and improve bus services before new private developments like Station Road and the University Press proceed.

4.Support our neighbourhood police in tackling local crime, including powers to deal with street drinking and city centre trouble. (These are powers the Lib Dems have blocked again and again and again.)
