Patrick Sheil for Arbury

About Patrick

Patrick was elected as your Arbury City Councillor in 2017. He lives locally, in the McManus estate (Arbury County boundary), and has lived all his adult life in Cambridge. He studied at Cambridge University and works in the Court of Protection Team (Adult Social Care) at Shire Hall.

Patrick is a member of UNISON. He has campaigned for Labour in many elections including in Arbury (2015). Patrick is keen on music, philosophy, and football.

Patrick says, "Social justice and a fair society, where those least well-off and most disadvantaged are cared for, underpin my values and Labour values. Helping local families get affordable housing is part of that fair society and I'm so proud that £70 million was secured by Labour to build 500 new Council homes in the city by 2020."
