Plans are being drawn up that could see radical cuts to NHS services.

According to the available documents, by 2021, the NHS in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is projected to be £250m short of the funds it needs to balance its books while maintaining the same level of care for patients.

Daniel Zeichner MP recently made a b-line for the Botantic Gardens.

Mr Zeichner who is vice president of the Cambridgeshire bee keepers association and a species champion for the Ruderal bumblebee will join Gill Perkins, CEO of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, at the bee border, as they spot bees and discuss the future of our pollinating friends after the EU referendum.

Commenting on the multi-billion proposed purchase of ARM Holdings by Japanese company Softbank, Councillor Lewis Herbert, Leader of Cambridge City Council said:

Daniel Zeichner MP has welcomed the report of the National Audit Office investigation into the collapse of the Uniting Care Contract. 

Mr Zeichner, who has long campaigned on this issue, and held an adjournment debate on the topic in January 2016, had called for the independent organisation to conduct a full review.

The Labour led Cambridge City Council is set to join the calls for the Government to give assurances that EU nationals currently in the country will be able to stay following the shock result of the EU Referendum on 23 June. A motion from Labour's Market ward councillor, Dan Ratcliffe, will be debated at the Full Council meeting on July 14th, and is considered very likely to attract cross party support.
